As usual, we =
will have a lesson before the dance, from 7:00 - 8:00. This month the=
lesson will be American tango, taught by Jonathan Medlin and Malin Allert.=
Here is a brief summary of their impressive dance accomplishments.

Jonathan and Malin have been dancing together since 2004. Th=
ey are active dancesport competitors, teachers, and choreographers. M=
ost recently they were finalists at the USADANCE National American Smooth C=
hampionships in Baltimore, MD. Prior to dancing Smooth, Jonathan and =
Malin competed in the International Standard division, most notably winning=
the U.S. National Collegiate Standard Championship in 2005.
These days, off the dance floor, Jonathan is practicing architecture, re=
cently becoming professionally registered this year. Malin is continu=
ing her biochemistry research in a prominent lab at the Duke Medical Center=
in Durham.
Each has been dancing for over fifteen years, =
and Jonathan and Malin continue to enjoy teaching, competing, and demonstra=
ting ballroom dancing. We are excited to have had them kick-off the l=
ast 4-years of January lessons and exhibitions for us at Triangle USADANCE,=
and look forward to this January 17, 2009 for their next performance with =
the club.
In addi=
tion to teaching a lesson, Jonathan and Malin will do an American smooth pe=
rformance during the break. Their shows are always spectacular, =
and this is something you won't want to miss.
